Funeral services for Thomas Robinson Malin, Jr. will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday November 11 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas. Rev. Larry Ravert will officiate followed by Masonic rites. Services are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mr. Malin,98, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 8 at his home in Sherman.

T.R. Malin was born December 26, 1911 in Dallas, TX. T.R. owned and operated Malin's Famous Barbeque in Dallas in the 1940s and 1950s. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and had been a member of DeMolay and Masonry for over 50 years.

T.R. was preceded in death and greeted at Heavens Gates by his loving wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Hill Malin; parents, Thomas Robinson Malin and Jessie (Williams) Malin; and one brother, Clay Malin.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 22 years, Ona Malin; three sons, Thomas Malin III and wife L.A. of Florida, Graham Malin and wife Carla and David Reno and wife Pat, all of Texas; five daughters, Jeri Kay McGrath and husband Jim, Betty Jordan and husband Johnny, Bonnie Brandon and husband Bobby, Sherry Horton and husband George, and Billie Vickrey and husband L.J., all of Texas; brother-in-law, Arthur Hill and wife Dana of Texas; 23 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday November 10 at Grove Hill Funeral Home. The family will gather at the Hella Shrine Terris Room following the funeral on Thursday. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
