Bishop Tishie McDaniels, age 74, of Desoto, TX, formerly of Hendrix, OK ascended to her eternal home Tuesday, April 11 ^th at Dallas Methodist Hospital following a brief illness.

Tishie McDaniels was born February 6, 1949, in Hendrix, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ben and Virgie Porter.

She grew up in Hendrix and Tishomingo, attending the public schools there and receiving her formal education.  She also attended culinary school of arts and became an excellent chef, cooking for family and friends most of her life.

Tishie met Reginald and they fell in love with each other, thus sharing 18 years of marital bliss.

Tishie was called to the ministry in 1980 and was ordained in 1984.  Preaching was her passion.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Doug Porter, Stella Luke, Gary Porter, Carol J. Stevens and Fayretta McKinney.

Those left with cherished memories are her husband Reginald McDaniels of Desoto, TX; brothers Robert Porter, of Conroe, TX and Larry Porter of Hendrix, OK; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A public visitation will be Friday, April 21 ^st from 2 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Waldo Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday, April 22 ^nd at 1 P.M. at Waldo Funeral Chapel, burial will follow at Bloomfield Cemetery in Hendrix, Oklahoma.
