Tonda Darlene Martinez passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024. She was born January 19, 1962, the    daughter of Leroy Barnett and Wanda Pearl Mahan Barnett.

Tonda enjoyed collecting elephants, reading astrology, tarot cards, and making dolls. She loved connecting with people through social media and would take relaxing drives in the car. She adored her pets China and Cookie and would spend her time listening to people's journey of life stories. Tonda would drink two cups of black coffee every morning and would drink a cup of crown and coke in the evenings. She enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine and making carrot or chocolate cakes. She also loved to listen to music and share stories. You could catch her at Dairy queen getting a taco salad or steak finger basket with two pieces of extra toast. Tonda worked for Kim's Fried Chicken, Clayton Homes, and Sonic.

She is preceded in death by her son, Emigdio Echeverria, mother Wanda Pearl Barnett, sister Tena Kim Cashion, grandparents Emma Jean Mahan and Joe Bailey Mahan.

She is survived by Calista Rose Perez, Mariana Perez, Melanie Perez, Betsy Ocon, Elaina Marie Ocon, Jesus Felipe Ocon Jr., Moises Ocon, Shanika Lane Finney, Gary Antonio Woods Jr., Azeiria Seliene Fountain, Olga Molina, Felipe Bradley Yanez, Celsa Marie Yanez, Elida Guadalupe Yanez, Bryan Kayden Lopez, Nayeli Imoni Godwin-Ocon.
