Denison native, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Treva Jo Thomas, age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep September 29th.

Treva was born March 25, 1939, in Denison Texas to Velma Lee Crow. She was later adopted by Edward and Susie Fay Davis, her great Aunt and Uncle, when her mother was no longer able to care for her.

In life Treva was an avid animal lover having raised dogs, cats, wild birds, rabbits and even a pet raccoon. Most recently she enjoyed painting with her daughter Audrey.

Treva is survived by her children Audrey (Thomas) Flood and son-in-law Jerry Flood of Van Alstyne, and Charley Thomas Jr. and Linda (Potter) Thomas of Denison.

She has six grandchildren, Bryan Flood of Pflugerville, Casey Flood of Fort Worth, Preston Flood of Van Alstyne, Charla Tomas of Topeka, Kansas, Anthony Thomas and Christopher Thomas of Goldsboro, North Carolina, as well as eight great grandchildren, Eryn (Flood) Eckert of Houston, Austin and Sofia Flood of Fort Worth. Max and Charlie Thomas of Topeka, Kansas and Haylee, Charlee and Ricardo all of Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Treva was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Charles “Charley” Thomas and her youngest son Charles Richard Thomas of Denison.

The family will be holding a private memorial service.
