TREY RENARD BODDIE

JANUARY 24, 1983 – SEPTEMBER 18, 2022

Celina – Our loving brother, Trey Renard Boddie, 39, of Celina unexpectantly passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the First Celina Baptist Church. Rev. Derrick Temple will officiate services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery.

Trey was born January 24, 1983, in Sherman to the late Ricky and Pamela Boddie. He graduated from Van Alstyne High School. He married Thera Rockins on July 2, 2011, in South Padre. Trey worked as Coach and Youth Director for NTL Performance.

Trey will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and husband. He is survived by his wife, Thera of Celina; his daughter, Isabelle, and his son, Tyton; his sister, Shanda Boddie-Ross and husband, Chris Ross, of Richardson, his brother, Jacob Boddie and wife Amy of Celina; his two nieces, Kennedy Morrison and Taylor Boddie, two nephews, Brock Boddie and Blake Boddie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ricky and Pamela Boddie; his grandparents, Willy and Shirley Boddie and JL and Geraldine Anderson.

Everyone who knew Trey knew what it meant to be loved by him. He had such a heart for caring for other people, and it showed in everything he did.

Trey was an athlete and used his own talents to pour into younger athletes. He absolutely loved the time he spent coaching football and baseball. Trey was also a family man, and not a day went by that he didn't speak to his brother or sister.

The family will honor Trey's memory with a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 6:00 pm at the home of Jacob and Amy Boddie, 410 Tarpan Trl, Celina, Texas.
