Vade Dean Keel, 88, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2025, surrounded by loving family.

Vade was born on September 7, 1937, in McDowell County, West Virginia, to Vaughn Cowen Keel and Zelda Crabtree Keel. He graduated from Big Creek High School in 1956. He attended Grayson County College and Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 until he was honorably discharged in 1960. While in service, he met Julia Loydene Belknap, and they married in September 1960. This year, Vade and Julia celebrated 65 years of marriage. After his service, Vade settled in the North Texas area and worked as a tile contractor until he retired.

Vade was a member of the Center Street Church of Christ in Sherman, Texas, where he served as a deacon for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Julia; three sons, Stephen Keel and his wife, Sue; Craig Keel and his wife, Dee; and Brent Keel and his wife, Becky; eight grandchildren and their spouses; and eleven great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, from 6 to 8 PM at Waldo Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Monday, December 15, at 10:00 a.m. at the Center Street Church of Christ in Sherman, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Center Street Church of Christ or Sunny Glen Children's Home in San Benito, Texas.
