Wallace James (Wally) Thacker 57, of Southmayd, TX, died at Sherman Medical Center on May 16, 2025.

Mr. Thacker was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Marie, brothers Little Clarence and Ronald Thacker.

He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Bowles and her husband Joseph of Southmayd, TX; partner Bridgette Hayden; two grandsons Wade Freeman and Bentley Thacker; granddaughter Paizlie Bowles; granddog Daisey; three nieces Rochelle Thacker, Kayla Turner and Destiny Thacker; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family.

Wally graduated from Calvert High School in 1985. He worked side by side as a mechanic with his dad for many years at his father's station.  He loved hunting, fishing, anything outdoors, smoking on his grill and spending time with friends and family.
