William Joe "Bill" Jones

Sherman- Funeral services for Bill Jones will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 26th at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Dr. Eddy Johnson will officiate. Mr. Jones, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 21 at Texoma Medical Center.

Bill was born September 7, 1941 in Bennington, Oklahoma to the late Claytis and Jonnie (Davis) Jones. On June 27, 1964, He and Tina Blythe were married in Sherman. They were married until her death in September 2017.  Mr. Jones worked for 41 years at Burlington Industries and worked as a cattleman in retirement.  He was a former deacon at Central Baptist Church in Whitesboro and currently a member of Southmayd Baptist Church.

Mr. Jones is survived by three sons, Jeff Jones and wife Jennifer, Joey Jones and wife Jamie, and Jeremy Jones and wife Amberly, all of Sherman; eight grandchildren, Brianna, Haley, Matthew, Taylor, Cash, Riley, Jodi, and Dakota; four great grandchildren, Audrie, Ryder, Brinlee, and Rylee; and his best friend, Roy Pena.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, February 25 at Waldo Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
