William Scott Prather passed away from this life Friday, April 7, 2023, while surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Bonham, Texas. He was 55 years old.

Scott was born June 13 ^th , 1967, in Ulysses, Kansas. He was the son of Raymond Floyd Prather and Katy LaVern (Victor) Prather. He attended Ulysses Public Schools. On September 8 ^th , 1990, he married Shawna Mae Leigh in Ulysses.

He worked for many years for Hope Concrete as an Area Manager.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Shawna Prather of Bonham, Tx; Son, SSgt Levi Prather of Colorado Springs, Co; daughter and son in law, Shaina and Bradley Podner of Sherman; Grandchildren, Samuel Podner and Georgia Podner of Sherman; Brother, SGM(Ret) Floyd Prather and his wife Donna of Ridgedale, Mo; Sisters, Kathy Hallagin and her husband SFC(Ret) Daniel Hallagin of Lawton, Ok, Rhonda Copenhaver and her husband 1SG(Ret) Anthony Copenhaver of Temple, Tx; and Brother, Marshall Prather of Lawton, Ok.

He was preceded in death by his parents Katy LaVern and Raymond Floyd Prather.

A celebration of Scott's life will be held at 11 am, Saturday, April 15, in the sanctuary of Calvary Baptist Church, 913 S. 5 ^th St, in Bonham, Tx. Rev. Lyn Holly and Pastor Titus Woodward will officiate.
