William Arthur Rhea Sr. (Bill)- (77)

Father, husband, son, brother, grandfather, Airman, and Marine are many of the Titles Bill held. We lost Bill on November 24th, 2023. Bill is survived by his loving wife Lorene Rhea, daughters Kary Rhea (grandchildren- Josh & Cody)-, Jana and husband Mitchell Stewart (grandchildren- Mia & Hunter,) Crystal & husband Eric Joffs (grandchild-Josh), Darlene Huffman(deceased)(Grandchild-Tyler), Son William Arthur Rhea Jr., and his wife Dr. Beth Rhea(grandchildren-Christina, Mercades, Devin),Brothers Scott and James Rhea. Bill also had a very successful career at Belo Corporation (Dallas Morning News) for 24 ½ years, where he made many friends. Bill served honorably in the Marine Corps and the Air Force during and after the Vietnam War.

He was a flight Engineer during Vietnam, flying returning soldiers back home in a C-141. Bill had many gifts in his life; he was a true Champion of education and self-reliance, and he was the best friend a cat could have. A true sportsman when it came to tax season. One of the only individuals who loved when it was time to 'pay the bills!!". A true lover of American Muscle cars. He only found out that his 1992 Corvette could do 78 MPH when his wife Lorene received a speeding ticket. He was fast with the one-liners. To say he was a Great man does him a disservice. He will be missed by all that had the blessing to know him.
