Jason Ryan Sparks, age 36 of Sherman, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at his residence.
Services will be 1 PM Monday, March 16, 2009 in the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jordan Johnson, Baptist minister from Gainesville, Texas, will officiate and the burial will be at Ridgeview Memorial Park in McKinney, Texas.
Jason was born December 2, 1972 in Terrell, Texas, the son of Jerry Sparks and Lorene McCarley Sparks. He moved to Sherman at a young age and attended Perrin Elementary School, Piner Junior High School and Glad Tidings Christian School. He moved with his parents to Tucson, Arizona in December of 2001 where he lived until June of 2007 when he moved to Paris, Texas. He was employed at various restaurants in Paris and moved back to Sherman in early 2008 where he worked for Champion Cooler
Jason loved the outdoors, especially fishing, was a good artist and enjoyed sketching, and also liked to read.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Lorene Sparks of Tucson, Arizona; three sons, McCarley Ryan Sparks, Logan Michael Sparks and Caleb Allen Sparks, all of Fort Worth; aunt, Annette Johnson of Sherman and her children Jared, Alison and Holly; uncles, Finice McCarley and wife Charise of Memphis, Tenn. and their son Jordan; Joe Sparks and wife Olevia of Plano and their children Ashley and Aaron; and Jimmy Sparks and wife Sue of Alvin, Tx. and their daughters Sandy, Lori and Tracie; also numerous great aunts, great uncles and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J. R. and Dorothy McCarley and Thomas and Katherine Sparks.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Sunday at Waldo Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jason's cousins, Jared Thompson and Jordan McCarley, and friends Casey McKinney, Jason Weiss John Huebner and Robert Campbell.
