Graveside services for Lodeal ?Milky? Vance age 83, of Sherman, TX will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, TX.
He passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at his residence in Sherman.
He was born on October 11, 1925 the son of Lester Albert ?Pickle? and Mary Margaret Hart Vance.
Milky graduated from Sherman high school and later joined and served in the United States Navy. He then attended and graduated from Austin College. He was a Golden Gloves boxing champion, a 32nd Degree Mason and has been a member of the Sherman Country Club since 1966. He loved to fish and was a great fisherman.
He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Dean Arnold and husband Dennis of Plano, TX, son, Les Vance and wife Carolyn of North Richland Hill, TX, three grandchildren, Danielle Martinez of Winslow, AZ, Tiffany Vance Simper and husband Eric of Plano, TX, Michael Vance and wife Kristen of Houston, TX. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, one sister, Marie Wendeborn of Sherman, TX, uncle, Ed Vance of Sherman, TX and his companion Alta Hefton of Sherman, TX.
Milky was preceded in death by his Parents, wife, Lynette ?Mack? Vance and twin sister, Lodean Vance.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 26, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service.
