Graveside services for Ava G. Walkup, age 75, of Sherman, TX will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Whitaker Cemetery in Gunter, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
She passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2011 in Tushka, OK
Ava was born in Limestone, AR the daughter of the late Orville Curtis and the late Blanche (Casey) Curtis. She met and married Stanley Walkup. He preceded her in death. She was a loving mother, grandmother and she loved playing board games with her grandkids.
She is survived by her son, Orville Ray Gaskin and wife Janice of Sherman, TX, five grandchildren, Eric Cole, Aaron Cole, Chris Gasken, G.G. Booth and Jennifer Garner, six great grandchildren, sister, Lucy Harrison and brother, A.F. Curtis and his wife Aloma Dell.
