Aldo Paviolo

Sherman- Funeral services for Aldo Nestor Paviolo will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 3 at Waldo Funeral Home. Joe Ed Furr of the Western Heights Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery with Mr. Paviolo's grandsons serving as pallbearers. Mr. Paviolo, 78, passed away Tuesday, May 31 in Sherman.

Aldo was born January 7, 1933 in Argentina to the late Humberto and Aurona (Paz) Paviolo. He served in the Air Force in Argentina and was stationed in the United States where he met and married Elisie Lanier. They had one child, Esther "Nina" Paviolo. After the death of Elisie, he married Dorothy McConnell Smith on January 5, 1985. Aldo worked at Texas Instruments for 25 years. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling and working as a greeter at Wal-Mart until health issues forced him to stop. He was a longtime member of the Western Heights Church of Christ where he enjoyed giving away candy every Sunday and referred to this as his "Candy Ministry."

Mr. Paviolo is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Nina; two granddaughters, Ericka Dominguez and husband Gabriel and Cinnamon; one grandson, Raymond; and one great grandchild, Lili Ana, all of Sherman. He is also survived by four step-sons, Larry Smith and wife Cindy and Jack Smith and wife Anita, all of Tulsa, Gib Smith and wife Teresa of Springdale, Arkansas and Jim Smith and wife Sandy of Spring, Texas; ten step-grandchildren, Eddie, Tim, Zachary, Ashley, Jake, Jesse, Luke, Katee, Shelby, and Spencer; and two step great grandchildren, Brandon and Jacob. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one grandson, Corey Smith.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Waldo Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Western Heights Church at 800 Baker Park Drive, Sherman, TX 75092. The online register book can be signed at waldofuneralhome.com.
