Sherman- Graveside funeral services for Freddie Joe Miller will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday February 29 at West Hill Cemetery. Rev. Kevin George of the Calvary Baptist Church will officiate with Billy Davis, Don Barron, C.J. Barron, D.J. Barron, Ryan Davis, and Jason Jay serving as pallbearers. Mr. Miller, 76, passed away Sunday, February 26 at the Mullican Care Center in Savoy.

Freddie was born September 9, 1935 in Howe, Texas to the late Joseph and Lillie (Hopper) Miller. He served in the US Army and married Frances Cummings on February 6, 1960 in Durant, Oklahoma. He and Frances had been married over 38 years when she passed away in 1998. Freddie worked at Texas Instruments, but mainly worked in construction as a carpenter in the Sherman area.

Mr. Miller is survived by three children, Carl Barron and his wife Linda of Tom Bean, Carol Martin and her significant other Tom Mills of Pottsboro and Pam Terrell and significant other, Dick Harper of El Paso; five grandchildren, Billy Davis of Sherman, Monica Bagwell and husband Kendall of Whitesboro, Donald Barron and wife Dianna of Silo, OK, C.J. Barron and wife Gena of Sherman, and Heather Terrell and husband Jamie of El Paso; seventeen great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, and two sisters.
