Services for Frankie Taylor, 93, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the Chapel on the Hill with Rev. Bill Whitehead officiating.
Frankie was born March 15, 1919 in Woodville, Georgia to John Frank Mines and Susan Mariah (Kimbro) Mines and passed from this life on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Allen, Texas.
Frankie was a graduate of Bass High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She married Walter Grayson Taylor on April 9, 1940 in Decatur, Georgia. Mrs. Taylor worked as a homemaker all of her life taking care of her family. She and Walter were longtime faithful members of Fairview Baptist Church since 1958. Frankie was an artist and had a passion for china painting, water coloring, oil painting and drawing. She loved being with her family and enjoyed playing the piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Walter on December 13, 1986.
Frankie is survived by her daughters, Sandra Scrivner and her husband, Jerry of Red Oak, TX, Barbara Lawrence and her husband, John of Sedalia, CO, and Susan Pate and her husband, Brian of Allen, TX, grandchildren, Kimberly Sykora of Red Oak, TX, Keri Douglas of Round Rock, TX, Taylor and Zachary Pate of Allen, TX, great grandchildren, Kaylee, Ashlyn, and Avery Sykora of Red Oak, TX, Sam, Cooper, and Jack Douglas of Round Rock, TX, and special cousin, Kenneth Kimbro of Blackshear, GA.
