Ina Mae Jaco
Sherman - Funeral services for Ina Mae Jaco will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 28, 2013 in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church in Sherman, TX. Rev. Joe Ed Goolsby will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Mrs. Jaco passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at Pecan Point Assisted Living Facility and Memory Care in Sherman.
Mrs. Jaco was born September 15, 1923 in Trenton, TX to Voyd and Lora Grace (Ross) Hicks, who preceded her in death. She married the late Glenn D. Jaco August 4, 1941 in Leonard, TX and they enjoyed 64 years together, before his death in 2005. They owned and operated Jaco's Men and Boys Wear in Van Alstyne, Sherman and Denison, TX for more than 50 years.
She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Sherman and a long time member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was an accomplished artist, devoted her time to the Sherman Service League, was an avid bridge player, who looked forward to her weekly bridge club and enjoyed square dancing before she lost her sight. She and her husband took great pleasure in being with friends and family at the Sherman Country Club and traveling throughout the country.
She will be remembered by her family as "Mama Mae" a gracious, gentle, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Ina Mae, is survived by her daughter Glenda Francis and husband, Dennis of Plano, TX and son Troy Jaco and wife Emilie of Pottsboro, TX, sister Naoma Thompson and husband Tommy of Spring, TX, sister-in-law Colleen Able, grandchildren Jill Kettlewell and husband David of Allen, TX, Zach Jaco of Houston, TX, Arianne Jaco of Aubrey, TX, great-grandchildren Cole and Alayne Kettlewell of Allen, TX.
Pallbearers will be Zach Jaco, Eddie Able, Terry Able, Johnny Todd and David Kettlewell.
The family wishes to acknowledge immense appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Pecan Point Assisted Living Facility and Memory Care and Guardian Hospice for their unselfish devotion and care.
