Sherman- Graveside funeral services for Nina Payne will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday May 21 at West Hill Cemetery. Dr. Mike Lawson of the First Baptist Church of Sherman will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Payne, 92, passed away Friday May 17 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ Medical Center.

Nina was born May 20, 1920 in Sadler, Texas to the late Tom and Jessie (Hackleman) Spalding. On November 24, 1945, Nina and Clarence Henry Payne were married in Sadler. Mrs. Payne worked in the banking business for over forty years. Nina will be remembered for her devoted and caring love for her family. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman and had worked in the children's ministry for many years. In her last few years, Mrs. Payne enjoyed living at the Preston House and had many friends there.

Mrs. Payne is survived by one daughter, Bobbie Faye Parrott of Whitesboro; granddaughter, Angela Rollwage and husband Chris of Providence Village, Texas; grandson, Robert Henry Crockett of Irving; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Kirsten Rollwage; four sisters, Marie Spalding, Betty Wood, Ann Curry, and Tommie Sue Spalding, all of Sherman; and one brother, Jack Spalding of Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Henry Payne; brother, D.B. Spalding; and parents, Tom J. and Jessie Spalding.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday, May 21 at Waldo Funeral Home.
