Funeral services for Ann Bowden, age 83, of Howe, TX will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Howe, TX with Rev. Roger Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow at Akers Cemetery in Sherman, TX.
Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Ann passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Van Alstyne, TX.
She was born in Memphis, TX on December 1, 1929 the daughter of George Dewey and Esther Anderson Miller. Ann married Spike Bowden on October 6, 1947 in Gainesville, TX. He preceded her in death. She worked for many years and retired from Texas Instruments in Sherman. Ann loved the Lord, life, people and she never met a stranger. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Howe, TX.
She is survived by her two sons, Spike David Bowden and wife Mary of Sherman, TX and Robert Bowden and wife Teresa of Pottsboro, TX, five grandchildren, Mary Ann Bowden, David Wayne Bowden, Vanessa Bowden, April Rose Bowden, Dawn Michelle Wormsbaker and husband Josh and 8 great-grandchildren. Ann is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Billy, Kenneth and Robert Miller.
Pallbearers will be David Beaty, Shawn Beaty, Ryan Trujillo, Josh Wormsbaker,David Bowden and Greg Tomlin.
The family night will be on Friday, June 14th from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
