Herschel Ray Epting's Obituary
Memorial services for Herschel Ray Epting, age 78, of Sherman, TX will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Epting officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, TX.
He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Sherman Healthcare Center.
Herschel was born on July 13, 1935 in Sherman, TX the son of Roy and Dove Rainey Epting. Herschel grew up in Sherman and worked for many years as store manager at Gibson's and later working at Dollar General. He was most recently employed at Sunshine Foods until he became ill.
He is survived by his ex wife and best friend, Linda Robison, son, Shane Ray Epting and fiancé Ana Galicia, two step sons, Olin Buchanan and Terry Buchanan. Herschel is also survived by several grandchildren and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Edward Ray Epting and three brothers, Jack, Tom and W.J. Epting.
