Deanna Lynn Martin, was born March 30, 1963, in Wichita, Kan. She lived her life by her own rules and no holds barred. She died unexpectedly on June 26, 2014, at her home. There will be a service to celebrate Deanna's life on Tuesday evening, July 1, in the main pasture at her home place in rural Gunter, Texas. She is survived by her two beloved daughters, Addison Peyton (14) and Cassidy Lynn (12) and their father, Bruce Ahlmeyer of Gunter. She will also be sorely missed by her mother, Patricia Sloop of Wichita; sister, Alaina Martin of San Diego, and sister, Melanie Jenney and family of Wichita. Deanna's father, Aaron Martin, precedes her in death.
Deanna graduated from Wichita East High School, received her MBA from the University of Kansas and went on to have an exciting career on Wall Street. Deanna fell in love with horses at a very young age and barrel racing in rodeos was her life's passion. Deanna liked to go places and go FAST. She loved traveling and exploring and living life to its fullest. She shared those passions with her daughters and leaves them with many enduring memories of exciting times together. Deanna was a shooting star, full of light and energy...zooming through the sky, blazing brightly, and gone much too soon.
