Sherman-Nancy Ann Roberts, 79, passed away April 8, 2015 at Traditions Senior Living. A memorial service will be held Saturday 9:30 AM April 11, 2015 at Traditions Senior Living 505 N FM 1417 Sherman, TX 75092. Pastor Josh Burton will officiate.

Nancy was born May 7, 1935 in Columbus, OH., to Clifford Raymond Athy and Marion (Poppen) Athy. Her family was in the oil business and moved to Dallas. She had attended the University of Tulsa and went on to graduate from SMU with a degree in journalism. She married Thomas Francis Roberts on November 22, 1955.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Buck and husband Alan; daughter, Susan Fulk and husband Ken; grandchildren: Jamie Buck and friend Murray Millson, Ashley Oates and husband Michael, John Fulk and wife Martha, Steven Fulk, Erin Fulk, and great granddaughter, Joy Fulk. Nancy worked at Taylor Lincoln Mercury and went on to work for 21 years in the Tax Office in Grayson County. She was an avid reader, gardener, and great cook. Nancy also enjoyed fishing, working crosswords, and jigsaw puzzles. In her youth, Nancy competed on a synchronized swimming team, was an award winning equestrienne and qualified for membership in MENSA, the oldest high IQ society in the world.

Mom, thanks for the sugar cookies! We love you and will miss you! Drive carefully.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Girl Scouts USA or by planting a rosebush in her memory.
