Charles Precopia, 91yrs, passed away Sunday May 17, 2015 at The Willows in Sherman. Visitation will be held Wednesday 6-8PM May 20, 2015 at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 AM Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Saint Stephens Episcopal Church in Sherman. Rev. J. Wesley Evans will officiate. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Charles was born December 25, 1923 in Bridgeville, PA to Michael and Anna (Praugh) Precopia. He married Leta Faye Spoonemore on July 7, 1945 in Greenville, TX.

Mr. Precopia served in the Army Air Corps from 1943-1946. Charles worked as a salesman in the insurance and food distribution industry. He also owned and operated a small grocery store in Grand Prairie, TX. He was a Charter Member of the Dallas Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Charles instilled a strong work ethic in his four sons; by his example he let them know there was nothing they could not achieve.

Charles is survived by his four sons, Charles Precopia Jr. and wife Janet Kay of Arlington, TX, David Earl Precopia and wife Penelope Ann of Ore City, TX, Steven Michael Precopia and wife Linda of Sherman, TX, Kevin Dale Precopia and wife Kari of Dallas, TX; one brother, Paul Precopia of Midway, PA; 9 grand children; and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his 10 siblings, John Precopia, Mary Toloverto, Steve Precopia, Katherin Dunn, Elizabeth Jenkins, Julia Vornivich, Helen Sands, Pauline Henigman, George Precopia, and Paul Precopia.
