Benny was born on Saturday, November 22nd, 1952 in Sherman, Texas to Albert and Billie Jean (Bell) Souther and passed from this life on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas at the age of 62.
Benny retired from the City of Tom Bean Public Works Dept. with over twenty years of service. Benny had a passion for working with his hands, working as a mechanic and could fix anything with a motor. He loved being outdoors and listening to music. Benny enjoyed cookouts, drinking beer and laughing with his family and friends.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Tanner Souther.
He is survived by his children, Jeanna Kay Souther of Denison, TX, Benny Eugene Souther Jr. of Wylie, TX, Terry Wayne Souther of Denison, TX, Cindy Lou Souther and husband Kris Holmes of Sherman, TX, Jeffrey Dewayne Souther of Denison, TX, and Hadley Grace Souther of Pottsboro, TX; brother, Jerry Souther of Luella, TX; grandchildren, Macey, Joshua, Brittany, Brandi, Hannah, Stella, Breanna, and Baylie.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, Nov. 17th, at Luella Cemetery in Luella, Texas with Chuck Dodd officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Souther, Kris Holmes, B.J. Souther Jr., Joshua Adams, Heath Hendrix and Terry Souther.
Benny's family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 PM on Monday, Nov. 16th, at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
