Karl "Dennis" Kight, Sr.

Sherman- A memorial service for Karl Dennis Kight, Sr. will be held at 7 pm Thursday, December 10 at Waldo Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Kight, 66, passed away Monday December 7 at Texoma Medical Center.

Dennis was born December 17, 1948 in Safford, Arizona to Kenneth and Rae Annette (Morris) Kight. He proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam and spent the remainder of his career in the farming and ranching industry. Dennis was lighthearted and had a great sense of humor. An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed spending time with family, camping and fishing.

Mr. Kight is survived by four children, Brian Kight of Phoenix, Arizona, Vanessa Byron of Sherman, Christie Hix and Brandon Gillespie of Collinsville, and Karl Kight Jr. and wife Michelle of Sherman; Mother Rae Annette of Pomerene, Arizona; sister, Radeen Gladysh and husband Rick of Pomerene, Arizona; four grandchildren, Caleb Hix, Hayden Kight, Colby Wright, and Carsen Hix; two nephews, Mark and Larry Gladysh, and one niece, April Basinger. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Kight.
