Mary Ellen was born August 4th, 1946 in Marion, Indiana to Everette and Margie (Beavers) Owens and went to her Eternal home on December 15th, 2015 from Texoma Healthcare Center at the age of 69.
Mary Ellen lived her life as a Christian and faithful to her God. She was a prayer warrior with never ending faith, who touched many lives. Mary Ellen was a sweet person and never met a stranger. She loved people and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed singing Christian music and Elvira, and reading her Bible. She made hook rugs that she gave to her friends and liked to complete puzzle books. Mary Ellen was a member of Fairview Baptist Church for many years and the Order of the Easter Star Carpenters Chapter #183.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

She is survived by her friends and caregivers, Celia Akins, Lisa Vierling and Mary Ann Dunavan.

Funeral services to celebrate Mary Ellen's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 17th, at Fairview Baptist Church with Pastors Chris Moses and James Moore officiating. Committal services will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.

A visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to services.
