Sherman- Viola Maye was born April 21st, 1911 in Allen, Texas to Frank and Alice (Ruble) Forehand and went to her Heavenly home on December 18th, 2015 at the age of 104.

Viola married the love of her life, Hershell, on September 28, 1940 in Colbert, Oklahoma, and were together over 50 years when he died in 1990. Viola was baptized in 1944 at White Mound Church of Christ and was a longtime member of Woods Street Church of Christ. Viola worked as a nurse for several years and later as a seamstress at Pool Manufacturing Company for 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Eddie; 2 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law.

Viola is survived by her sister, Oleta Moore; grandchildren, Katy Ballog and husband Tim, Karen Armstrong and husband Darrin, Eddie Strong Jr., and Mark Strong and wife Courtney; 13 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate Viola's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, Dec. 21st, at Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Bill Mayes officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery.
