Dorothy Lichnovsky was born on August 25, 1937 in Kaufman County, Texas, to William and Jewell (Stamper) Essary and passed away on April 7, 2016 from complications associated with Parkinson's at the age of 78.
Dorothy married George Lichnovsky on November 15, 1963 in Waco, Texas. She worked for Burlington Industries until the plant closed in 1986. At that time, Dorothy worked in the food industry for various factories and fast food restaurants.
Dorothy loved her family, loved to cook, and play cards. She treated everyone like family and was loved by all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband George Lichnovsky of Sherman; 3 daughters, Tina Goode and her husband Steve of Canyon Lake, Debbie Skipworth and her husband Bubba of Fort Worth, and Diane Powell and RL Calhoun of Sherman; 3 sons, Douglas Lichnovsky and wife Misty of Sherman, Donald Lichnovsky and Tonya Lowery of Sherman, and Darrin Lichnovsky and Katrena King of Whitesboro; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Larry Barbarick, daughter Anita Spinks, and granddaughter-in-law Stephanie Skipworth.
The family would like to especially thank Bobby Hawkins for officiating the graveside services, Glenda Green for styling Dorothy's hair, and Dwayne Lichnovsky, Mark Lichnovsky, Kendall Kerzee, Alfie Doss, Grant Partridge and Bryan Lichnovsky for serving as pallbearers, Grayson Hospice, Erin Taylor as mom's home health aide attendant, and Waldo Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 11, from 6-8 PM at Waldo Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 12, at Bold Springs Cemetery in the city of West, TX.
