Myrna Bauer passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of June 2, 2016. She and the lord chose this day, the anniversary of her 60th wedding anniversary to Norman Bauer who has preceded her in passing in 2007.
Services will be held at 1pm Tuesday June 7th at Waldo Funeral Home. Family graveside service will follow at Cederlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather at Waldo Funeral Home on Monday evening between 6-8pm to receive guests. Reverend Whitehead will officiate.
Myrna Bauer was born on February 24, 1937 in Sherman, Texas. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1956. Myrna met Norman Bauer while he was stationed at Perrin Air Force Base and they were married on June 2, 1956.
Myrna is survived by two daughters, Donna, son-in-law Stephen Blake of Acworth, Georgia and Diane Evans of Sherman, Texas. She has six grandchildren, Crystal and Brandon Blake of Acworth, Georgia. Tiffany Evans Workman and husband Chad Workman of Ravenna, Texas, Sarah Evans Warren and husband Michael Warren, Matthew Bates all of Sherman, Texas and Jordan Carter of Louisiana. She has four great grandchildren Steven, Alexandra, Nikita, Emily, Alexis and Jadyn.
Myrna was employed and retired from Texas Instruments after 36 years. She owned a porcelain doll shop, where her creations were legendary. She was one of the most talented seam stresses; she could take a picture and create the identical item, also volunteered for Share Ministries. Myrna most of all loved her family and her kitties. She had a heart of gold and loved all animals. She will be missed by all who love her and she loved.
