Bruce Hindman
Sherman- Funeral services for Bruce Calvin Hindman will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 13 at Sherman Bible Church. Rev. Tim Harkins will officiate. Private committal services will be held at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro prior to the funeral. Serving as pallbearers are Nick Stanford, John Waddill, LarryMorriss, Steve Morgan, Nicholas Stanford, and Edison Hughes. Mr. Hindman, 57, passed away Thursday, November 10 at Baylor Hospital.
Bruce was born November 9, 1959 in Dallas to the late Arnold Hindman and Ruth Hart Hindman. On March 8, 1980, Bruce and Leslie Sheppard were married in Dallas. For over 33 years, Mr. Hindman worked for Oncor, holding the position of M&C Supervisor for Texoma Transmission since 1999. Bruce was a faithful church member and was active in many church leadership roles. He had previously served as a deacon and was currently a greeter and D-Group Leader at Sherman Bible Church. Bruce enjoyed golf and other sports but his passion was spending time with his wife and children.
Mr. Hindman is survived by his wife Leslie of Sherman; daughter, Dr. Bridget Ruth Hindman of Morgantown, West Virginia; son, Bradley Bruce Hindman and wife Valerie of Dallas; and two brothers, Douglas Hindman and wife Maggie of Arlington and James Hindman and wife Joyce of Valley Ranch. He was preceded in death by his parents.
