Charlene was born June 4, 1939 in Lamar, Missouri to Oscar and Pauline (Zaerr) Fasken. She passed from this life on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Sherman, Texas at the age of 78.

Charlene was raised in Jasper, Missouri. She would eventually meet and marry the love of her life, William Duren, Sr. on January 27, 1956 in Jasper. Early in their marriage, Charlene worked in the grocery industry. She was a stay at home mom when their children were young. After the children grew up, she and William drove trucks across the U.S. Charlene loved to read and her family was her life. She attended Sherwood Shores Baptist Church.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William 'Bill' Duren Sr., son, William Duren, Jr., brother, Mike 'Sonny' Fasken and wife Faye, and sister, Brenda Fasken.

She is survived by sons, Gary Duren, Sr. of Felton, DE, and Craig Duren of Gordonville, TX; daughter, Kym Traweek and husband Rennie of Sherman; grandchildren, Gary Duren, Jr. of Claymont, DE, Amber Duren of Felton, DE, Kayla Duren of Dallas, TX, Tyler Duren of Sherman, Kathy Dupuis of Denison, Dana Dupuis-Atchley of Dodd City, TX; 7 great grandkids, 2 great-great grandkids, and sister-in-law, Frances Gaines of Latrobe, PA.

The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Monday, June 12, at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 13, in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Delbert Vest officiating.

She will be laid to rest in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
