Patricia left this world to be with our Heavenly Father on September 14, 2017 in Denison at the age of 60. Later in life Patricia resided at Beacon Hill nursing facility because of her declining health.

Mrs. Shaw was born August 29, 1957 in Denison, Texas. She was educated through the Denison School system. Patricia has one son, Patrick Eugene Wright. She would later marry Andrae Shaw, and they would raise his niece, Jolisha Powell.

Mrs. Shaw was a dedicated homemaker until she became ill. She loved God and welcomed the opportunity to be with Him.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Andrae Shaw; brother, Herman Wright and sister, Lynda Bell.

She is survived by her son, Patrick; adopted daughter, Jolisha Powell; mother, Legessie Horn; brothers, Arthur Wright (Kim), Michael Wright, and David Wright; sisters, Francina DeHorney (Jerry), Paula Wright, Constance Wright, and Rhea Rochelle Wright, sister in-law, Stephanie Wright, other relatives and many friends.

Patricia's loving smile and hugs will be missed by all of her extended family and many friends.

Patricia will lie in repose Friday, Sept. 22, for public viewing from 12 PM noon to 8 PM at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.

The Home going Celebration with be Saturday, Sept. 23, at 11 AM in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Denison with Pastor Jerry DeHorney, Sr. officiating.

The funeral cortege will then proceed to Magnolia Cemetery where Patricia will be placed in her earthly bed on the Wright family plot.
