Errol Phillips

Colbert, OK- The family of Albert Errol Phillips, Sr will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, December 18 at Waldo Funeral Home. Mr. Phillips, 79, passed away Thursday, December 13 at Texoma Medical Center.

Errol was born March 8, 1939 in Dallas to the late Robert and Helen (Beeson) Phillips. He graduated from North Dallas High School in 1957 and took classes at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas at Arlington. He served ten years in the US Marine Corp. On June 12, 1964, he and Carol Crittenden were married in Richardson. Errol worked as a construction superintendent and enjoyed flying planes and spending time in the mountains. He was a Methodist and a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol of Colbert, OK; one son, Albert E. Phillips, Jr and wife Deneen of Van Alstyne; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Smith and husband Doug of Aurora, Colorado and Cindy Willingham of Lake Dallas; eight grandchildren, AJ Phillips, Kearon Tyler Redmon, and Alex Phillips, Lia Faye Smith, Madison Rose Smith, Jake Willingham, Zack Willingham, and Josh Willingham; three great grandchildren, Brevynn Fisher, Payton Willingham, and Lia Faye Willingham; and one sister, Sandra Stone and husband Jim of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Larry Phillips.
