Angel D. Burgos, 67, was born March 10, 1952 in Cataño, Puerto Rico.

Besides being a hardworking man and dedicated father, he spent many weekends at Humboldt Park playing semi-fast softball as a pitcher for over forty years in the City of Chicago where he lived most of his life.

He moved to Sherman, Texas in October 2018 to be cared for by his son, daughter-in-law, daughter and grandchildren. He lost his 18 month battle with Brain Cancer and ascended from Earth to eternity on Saturday, January 18, 2020 surrounded by an abundance of love from family members and Hospice Plus staff.

His kindness, generosity and selfless ways will be truly missed. He was a loving and dedicated role model to everyone.

Our beloved Angel is preceded in death by his father, Felix Sr., brothers Norberto and Daniel.

He leaves to cherish his memory, mother: Mercedes Diaz, Son Angel Luis, by first marriage with Gloria Figueroa and grandchildren  Keyla, Korina, Kevin, Kyle, Lily, Angely, and Angel Jr.,great-grandchildren Kaiden and Jael, Son Keith Andrew, daughter-in-law Lucy (Hollywood) and daughter Klarissa Maelyn (Princess) by second wife Nilda Ruiz and grandchildren, Azarya, Ayden, Amaryah, Skyla, Adriel, Adonai, Nissi, Kaelahni, Kameila and Kimora, brothers Felix Jr, Edwin, Ismael, sisters Margarita, Ana, Mercedes, Sonia, Teresa, Carmen, Luz Esther, Maria and many nephews, nieces and the rest of the family members including beloved friends.

Visitation at Waldo Funeral Home for family and friends will be held on Wednesday January 22, 2020 from 6pm to 8pm.

A celebration of life will be held at Iglesia Palabra de Fe 603 N Harrison Ave, Sherman, TX on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6pm to 8pm.
