Obituary

Anita Loucretia Barnett, of Cartwright, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord November 30, 2022.

She was born September 4, 1943, the daughter of Curtis and Mary (Tarpley) Ely, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was a 1960 graduate of Denison High School. She married Vick Barnett, May 20, 1960, in Madill, Oklahoma.

Anita worked as a medical supervisor at Blue Cross and later at Abby Foster Home Health.

She was a member of Red River Cowboy Church. She love the Lord and read her Bible daily. She enjoyed crafts, macrame', gardening, painting and playing Bunko with the ladies in her neighborhood.

Surviving are her husband, Vick Barnett of Cartwright, Oklahoma; daughter and son in law, Dee and Dale Hageman of Denison; grandson and his wife, Zach and Patti Williams, Chis Collum, Aaron Capps, and Phillip Barnett; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jace, Charlie, Hallie Barnett, Zoie Barnett, and Kaleb Barnett; a brother, Arthur Ely of Denison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Ely and Mary Dixon; and 2 daughters, Sabrina Barnett and Tammy Collum.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 pm, Monday, December 5, at Waldo Funeral Home and a funeral service will be held at 2 pm Monday, also at Waldo Funeral Home. Rev. Novice Northington will officiate. Burial will be at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
