Christopher Segrest – Sherman, Texas

Christopher Segrest, age 41, of Sherman, Texas passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 13, 2021.

He was born on June 27, 1980 in Amarillo, Texas to Jay Christopher Segrest and Sharon Ann Harder Segrest. Christopher graduated from Sherman High School in 1999. During this time, he received the Pete Odom Award. After graduating he received a scholarship to play football at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. His first year playing the team won conference. Christopher absolutely loved sports of all kinds. Christopher met Brittney Ruiz in 2011 and they were married on April 11, 2015. He also had a great love for spending time with his family and watching his son play sports.

Christopher is survived by his wife Brittney, son, Caige Segrest, parents, Chris and Sharon Segrest, brother, Shane Segrest, grandmother Joy Segrest Womble,  mother in law, Annie Martinez, father in law, Ken Henderson all of Sherman,  brother in law, Jonathan Ruiz of Gainesville and nephew, Brandon Ruiz of Abilene.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Betty Harden and J.B. Segrest.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 20 ^th at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel.
