Obituary

Jackie Gray

Sherman- Jackie 'Sue' (Wolfe) Gray,75, went to be with the Lord in the early hours of November 13, 2017.  Jackie was born Dec. 19, 1941 to the late Velma and John Wolfe in Sherman, Texas.

In addition to raising two children, Jackie was a Camp Fire Girl leader for her girls when they were growing up. She loved to take random long drives to adventure places she had not seen, going on picnics. She enjoyed listening to old records on the record player on lazy weekend afternoons, and we can't forget, she loved her home interior. One of her pleasures was becoming a Grandma and spending time with her granddaughter reading poems.

A lot of people got to know Jackie when she worked at Gibson's automotive for years. When they closed their doors, she went to work for Walmart. She was very well liked by her customers and was always trying to go the extra mile to help them. She was a single mother for most of her girls' life. Jackie Sue was a breast cancer survivor and she taught her daughters how to be strong women because of it.

Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cheryl Stanford; parents, John and Velma Wolfe; brother, Jerry Wolfe; and sister, Mary Wolfe. She leaves behind two daughters, Cheri (Michael) Yates and Ginger (Timm) Walker; three grandchildren, Amanda (Taylor) McCarty, Chris Braswell, and Jacob French.

There will be a memorial service for Jackie on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman at 2:00 PM. Chaplain Rodney Sprayberry will officiate.  We would love to see you there. Online condolences can be left at waldofuneralhome.com.
