A memorial service for James Alan Merritt, 7 days old, will be held at 10 am, Monday, October 11 in the Chapel of Waldo Funeral Home. He died October 2 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

He was born September 25, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. James was the infant son of Christopher and Kelsey (Taylor) Merritt of Sherman.

Surviving are his parents of Sherman; siblings, Christopher Lee Merritt of Sherman, Aria Rose Merritt of Savoy, Skylar Stinson of Collinsville, Broly Stinson of Collinsville, Aubrey Ray of Arlington, Evee Rae Merritt of Fort Collins, Colorado; Grandparents, Marty Taylor of Ft Worth, Annette Maria Baca Merritt, Henry Lee Merritt, both of Fort Collins, Colorado; Great Grandparents, Betty and James Hatfield of Lewisville, Tx, Pat Taylor of Iowa Park Tx, and Judy Hawthorne of Commanche, Tx.

He was preceded in death by grandmother, Tammy Hatfield Maly, great grandparents, Betty and Richard Baca.
