Laurel Yvonne Henson, born December 15, 1942 was taken home on June 11th, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Evelyn Doggett and brother Edgar (Buddy) Doggett Jr.

Yvonne leaves behind her husband, Ruben Henson, sister Judy Doggett, son's Jeff and his wife Starr Stanley, Randy Stanley, daughter Laura and her husband Lawrence Scoggins, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She has several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Yvonne was a member of Center Street Church of Christ. She had a very strong sense of religion so that those who knew her, or didn't know her, never had to wonder about her faith. Yvonne loved to sing, and helped with the singing school at La Prada Dr. Church of Christ for many years.

Yvonne also loved and supported her family. She loved going to sporting events or band trips with her kids and grandkids. She always enjoyed going with Ruben when he would preach at churches. You could always count on her to be there.

Yvonne also spent 20 years with the Howe Independent School District. The relationships she made during those years were very special.

Family night will be Monday June 13th, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at Waldo Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Tuesday June 14th, 2022 at 10:00am at West Hill Cemetery.
