It is the mission of Waldo Funeral Home to serve to the very best of our abilities each and every family that places their trust and confidence in us. We will do this by providing thoughtful, kind, efficient, and professional service.


We will be sensitive to each family's needs; respond promptly to all requests; provide meaningful suggestions; offer quality products and services at reasonable and competitive prices within each family's ability to pay; and attempt to relieve the family of tedious details and responsibilities at a very tragic time in their lives.

Our History:


Waldo Funeral Home was established by Rollie and Lorene Waldo in Sherman with a grand opening on March 2, 1937. Robert Waldo, son of the founder, continued the family business after his father's death in 1959. David Bedgood joined the firm in 1971 and purchased the funeral home several years later.


The Bedgood family has continued to build the reputation of the funeral home on personal and professional service to the families they serve, a precedent established by the Waldo family.

Continuous improvements have been made to the facility over the years. In recent years, the Bedgoods purchased the property south of the funeral home and remodeled it to become the Waldo Family Center, a place where families can meet for visitation and/or a meal before or after the services. The facility will accommodate up to 50 people for a meal or gathering and has both a kitchen and restroom facilities.
